Essex Sands Lights of Love Service

The death of a baby is difficult to bear at any time of the year but at a time like Christmas, it can be especially hard for many people. Each year in December, Sands holds “Lights of Love” services up and down the country so that families can come together and remember their babies.

Usually the closest service to us is in London so we are delighted to announce that this year we have been able to arrange a Lights of Love service in Essex. Everyone is welcome regardless of religious background. The service will include singing by a choir, carols, some readings and musical performances. There will be an opportunity at the service to light a candle and write your babies names on a tag to hang on our Christmas Tree. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and mince pies will be provided after the service.
